not all it could be.

Strengths:

User reviews.

Weaknesses:

Android App doesn't connect. Authentication required by unifi servers...each login....you don't really own your hardware. Permission based access. If you are running mailservers or multiple servers that require static public IPs......don't bother. NO NAT! Unbelievable. Only one Wan public static ip allowed. No work around within OS.....what an over sight. Not ready for market. My 10 year old asus router has better functionality...ffs. Bandwidth hog. Knock 940mbps down to 540 on basic security settings. Zero module availability. So no 10G.

Additional Comments:

Going to sell both switch and udmpro....useless if it wont alow a simple email server passthrough. and try a cisco set up Enuf said.

Great

Strengths:

Overall integration and control over your network. Android app and cloud interface.

Weaknesses:

I wish there was a more positive affirmation that the DDNS service is connecting and the last ping time. My NOIP works on the latest firmware. DOES NOT SUPPORT INSWITCH QOS. The QOS is only for traffic entering and leaving the WAN

Additional Comments:

I have installed 11 of these and besides the first few with old firmware they have been easy. You really should keep all your switches and APs, ubiquiti. This makes everything simple for VLANS and POE-port powercycles etc.

Not Smoothing Sailing

Strengths:

Great UI with lots of features and an integrated 3.5" HDD bay for surveillance

Weaknesses:

Buggy firmware and weak quality assurance testing, as of firmware 1.8.4 Dynamic DNS dose not work correctly using NoIP service

Additional Comments:

I couldn’t set it up out of the box, could not figure out why my port9 WAN will not get a public IP address, called my ISP to replace there modem to end up with the same exact issue no IP, ended up buying an SFP GPON Module from Amazon and got my fiber cable plugged in directly to Port10 and I was able to get a public IP address, after setting up the device, I wanted to test wan failover, so looking more in to this issue I ran across this reddit thread https://www.reddit.com/r/Ubiquiti/comments/jq5f3g/new_udm_pro_getting_only_100_fdx_100mbps_on_wan/ and Indeed I had the middle pin in the Wan port#9 is bent down all the way out of the box, I spent days and couldn’t figure it out, once the issue was isolated to a bent pin, I managed with a needle and a strong LED flash light to get the middle pin unstuck and it did sprung back to its location with a click sound and now I am able to get a public IP on port#9 from my ISP, wired thing it dose say tested and passed, Ubiquity has quality assurance issues, cause if it was truly tested it should be smooth sailing for me, I am still within the 14 day exchange period but I was afraid to exchange and to end up with another issue of some sort, since everything is working the way I wanted I will keep the unit. That review should have been 5/5 but since my unit had a defective port, I will stick with 3/5
