Accomplished the Wi-Fi Expansion that I Needed Easier Than I Expected

Strengths:

Easy to add as a node to my existing ASUS AIMesh network Better range than I expected Affordable

Weaknesses:

None so far and none expected based on my experience with ASUS networking devices.

Additional Comments:

For anyone utilizing ASUS' AIMesh network the RP-AX56 is a great addition. All that is required is: 1. Power it up 2. Select add node in your main router configuration 3. It's detected and automatically added 4. Last step is to physically place it between your main router and the devices you want to extend Wi-Fi to. At that point AIMesh determines the best wireless band to use for the backhaul connection and you are done. In general, if you are looking to improve Wi-Fi throughout your environment the ASUS AIMesh system is tough to beat. With so many AIMesh compatible devices, you can tailor the system to meet any needs.

Just as bad their older model.

Strengths:

Looks pretty.

Weaknesses:

Everything else. Tried everything under the sun to get it to connect to my router. Updated firmware, tried wired and wireless, tried web based router control, the app, all of it. No matter what, it absolutely refused to configure as a mesh node. Took it back.

Additional Comments:

Junk.
