I guess it will work if your plug fits.

My plug doesn't fit!

My 3.5mm plug is just barely shy of 5/8th of an inch. I don't know if this is non-standard, but it doesn't fit. I can get sound out of it, but the plug doesn't get snug at all, it just hangs loose in there and I have to be careful about moving it at all or I get either no sound or sound from one side only.
Like I said, I don't know how uncommon the length of my 3.5mm plug is, (it is still only 3-pin, so that's not the issue) but it would be nice if this adapter accommodated a plug of this size.
