Poor Adaptor Offering

Strengths:

It’s a drive bay adaptor, like it’s supposed to be.

Weaknesses:

Sheet metal gauge, sturdyness. Cannot connect power to the SSD without using sheet metal shears and changing the adaptor.

Additional Comments:

Overall I am disappointed that this is the only offering memory express has for a SSD drive bay adaptor. They used to offer Silverstone products for the drove bay adaptor and no longer do so. I used to buy the SDP08 model.

Totally useless

Strengths:

- Cheap, light

Weaknesses:

- Not enough holes to fix on a place of a 3.5'' hard drive - impossible to fix in many Antec and other cases - Wrong thread for screws for 3.5'' drive (see reviews for one drive version http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX42138) - can't be used if a computer case had its own long screws with correct thread - Impossible to use for bottom mounted drives - holes don't match. The bottom holes on this kit for a fan, not for a 3.5'' hard drive.

Additional Comments:

Now I have to return it back to ME. I don't understand why they try to sell this junk at all. My worst experience in many years with something I have bought from ME.

Just bad all over

Strengths:

Includes screws.

Weaknesses:

Warped bracket! Won't hold two drives. Thats what I bought it for. Super cheap build quality.

Additional Comments:

I will be returning this. I bought it to hold two laptop drives, they don't physically fit. Avoid this one its rather awful.

Flimsy same

Strengths:

Designed okay, frame molded to allow screwing in both SSDs with ease despite side frame.

Weaknesses:

Bottom screw holes doesn't align with bottom mount tray. 3 of 4 of the mounting tabs (that stick up) bent in transit, I was able to bend them back but there is a crease. It seems it will hold though.

Additional Comments:

Should have read the reviews first. Ended up copying Chris' twist tie idea for an Antec Sonata 3 500. Otherwise seems okay.

Ok, but doesn't work in bottom-mount bays

Strengths:

Mounts 2 SSDs in space for 1 3.5" drive

Weaknesses:

Doesn't mount from below. All my drive bays have the newer slide-out style caddy, and while the mounting tray appears to have some holes for the bottom, they don't line up with anything we have in our office.

Additional Comments:

If you've got a case with the old 3.5" bay with side-mounts, this will work great - otherwise I recommend adding a twist-tie or two.
