Strengths:
Build quality is very good and comes with a power cable (SATA to molex) that needs to be connected. Installed it today Mar 13, 2018 on my aging desktop PC which is a Gateway FX Model FX6860-EF10 and it worked fine after a power up and 1 restart cycle. My version of Windows is not the latest because my computer freezes with any version above 1607. Anyways I was able to capture video again from my old handicam, a SONY DCR-HC46 which uses MiniDV tapes.
Weaknesses:
None so far!
Additional Comments:
I use PowerDirector to capture the video, it worked fine using the firewire cable to connect the camera (the software controls de camera). I also downloaded from the SONY support site their PlayMemories Home software and the capture works fine too there. Great interface card, won't disappoint !!!
