Terrible

Additional Comments:

Drive died 2 months after warranty expired, was manufactured in January 2017. Other drives in the system (non Seagate) manufactured in 2011 still going strong.

Tash. Don't use these for anything important.

Additional Comments:

I had 2 of these running in RAID1 for under 2 years for archival purposes. I'd use them once a week to store my data. Both died at the same time and I can't recover any of my data on either drive. Typical Seagate.

Great NAS Drives

Strengths:

- solid field test - no errors - reliable - 2 years running

Weaknesses:

- Slow but average for 7200rpm - sometimes loud but not overly.

Additional Comments:

For the price, I have 2 of these in RAID 1 on my Synology NAS and it has never let me down. I even had this unplugged in storage for 4 months, when connected again, no issues, sync'ed my devices again, and now it keeps doing it's thing. I have done a few full Recoveries from the NAS with no hiccups.
