Good Fans... For a while...

Strengths:

When fully operational these fans look gorgeous. Lots of different colours/effects/combinations to choose from and it looks very smooth. Corsair ICue software isn't terrible to work with and for the most part runs quietly in the background. Option to go to higher RPMs is nice, however you definitely pay for that in acoustics, they can get pretty loud when you speed them up. Set up was fairly strait forward, even though there are quite a few bridges and wires required for fans IMO. Cable management isn't too bad as the wires are thin and pliable with a decent amount of length to work with.

Weaknesses:

I purchased this pack of three as well as a 140mm single fan. As stated in the "strengths" part of the review my first year with these fans was a pleasurable experience. Actually enjoyed them quite a lot and got a few comments of the ascetic of them. However, after probably just over a year of owning them, the RGB on first fan went down... and with this set up if one part of the circuit is down is messes up all the rest. So after figuring out it was the first fan in the hub that was the problem I still had three fans that worked. Few months go by and now I suddenly have 1.5 fans with working RGB. After some extensive troubleshooting, I now see I have 2.5 fans with working RGB (The 0.5 is due to the fact the 140mm's internal loop is the only one that works, the outside loop is completely dead) I even ordered a second RGB hub from Corsair in California to see if that was the issue, now I have two hubs that I ultimately won't be able to use.

Additional Comments:

All in all, for the money spent on these fans and the actual enjoyment time I got from them... I would not recommend these fans to many people. Way too expensive (even on sale) for what you're getting ultimately. Sadly, at the end of the day.. These are fans... They move hot and cold air to and from your PC... If they can look good with RGB then that is a bonus; but unless you've got money to burn these really are not the best option. As fans they preform admirably to this day! I have zero complaints about their ability to move air efficiently. However I bought these for the visual addition they would provide to my build and in a very short time they have failed miserably as well as demanded a lot more troubleshooting time than I would have preferred from well.. fans.. This kit is too complicated/expensive/cheaply made to actually be worth your hard earned dollars people. Certainly, if you're the type who doesn't use a PC for more than two years before selling it, or build them for strictly showroom type purposes; go for these fans without hesitation. But I would not recommend these fans to the average enthusiast on a budget. (Maybe other people have had better long term success with these fans, but considering the 140 was not part of the kit and also had issues. I'm leaning toward cheap manufacturing from Corsair.)

Very neat and does the job!

Strengths:

-RGB lighting on these are exceptional and in my opinion, one of the best on the market! -Fans rotate relatively quietly

Weaknesses:

-Expensive when bought at regular price

Additional Comments:

Overall these are great and if you are someone that enjoys RGB lighting, these are for you. iCue software is pretty decent as well for controlling all the corsair brands. The biggest downside is the price, however, if you buy them on sale, then they are well worth it.

Wow...expensive...but depending on your tastes it's worth it.

Strengths:

So, yes these are great RGB fans. They are a little gaudy when in the rainbow function. RGB in my opinion is great in that it allows you to theme a computer to whatever color you would like and then the next day change the entire computer to a new color. But wow these things look amazing. They are bright...really bright and the opaque plastic the leds are inside gives a great effect. Not sure about other brands customizing and controlling but with these you can set them exactly how you want them and then add other effects over top the original. What I mean is I set them to do a gentle breathing in blue and then added a second effect that had an orange light chase around the whole computer, over to the keyboard, mouse and back through the computer again. Lots of oohs and ahhs.

Weaknesses:

The one weakness I would say is not being able to control all RGB components through one software. And have seen issues with Asus Aura and Corsair iCue. locking up the OS completely. In the habit of running the software with the other turned off.

Additional Comments:

Really pricey...but yeah I would recommend these.

Amazing and beautiful

Strengths:

-looks amazing -great cooling -can be silent at lower rpm

Weaknesses:

-A bit pricey

Additional Comments:

This fans look absolutely amazing! I was skeptical of buying these considering the price but I love the choice I made to buy 6. So many different listing configurations and the ability to customize and layer these lighting styles as long as you have a lighting node pro or commander pro unit. They run whisper silent most of the time though close to max rpm (1600ish) they are audible for sure (running prime 95 CPU test). The lighting sometimes goes buggy and flickery after waking the computer from sleep and/or plugging in additional corsair compatible icue devices, but this issue was not enough to lose a star as it could be swiftly corrected by restarting icue or worst case, the computer. I will be installing the led expansion kit soon and I couldn't be more excited if it looks as brilliant as these fans!
