Save yourself the trouble.

Strengths:

Good port selection Priced to match performance.

Weaknesses:

Runs extremely hot, unreliable

Additional Comments:

Spare yourself. This thing will only bring you heartache. It works just often enough to not throw it away, plugging and unplugging over and over is the standard operating procedure. At first I thought it had to be my devices, but I've tried it on atleast 5 different laptops across most if not all the mainline OS, this dock sucks so bad.

Great - while it lasted

Strengths:

Versatile - lots of ports for nearly everything

Weaknesses:

always ran hot - uncomfortably hot could not supply enough juice for an external HDD that works perfectly from any other USB 3 port.

Additional Comments:

I owned this just over a year. It always ran hot, I just thought this was normal. Then the ethernet port died. After checking the other ethernet pieces that quit at the same time - a printer, a gigabit switch and the ethernet port on my router - I decided that the popping noise I heard from the dock somehow took out the switch and router - fatally. The printer needed a restart. So much for saving a few bucks. I've since bought a real MS Surface dock and USB C to HDMI adapter. Three times he money, but it all works correctly and not nearly so hot.
