Strengths:
- Has plenty of power (8+4) for a 12/16 core CPU
- BIOS flashback is a very useful feature and got me out of trouble when I accidentally applied a setting incorrectly (also might need flashback before you put in a Ryzen 5000 CPU)
- Understated but tasteful RGB
- Has a handy button to clear CMOS so you don't have to go pulling battery or shorting jumpers!
Weaknesses:
- Pricey, almost worth it to look at x570 at this price point. However, I didn't want any chipset cooling so I selected a b550 instead
- My unit's screw holes for installing were a bit offset (couldn't get them to line up perfectly with my case - Lancool II mesh)
- Occasionally, I cannot get into BIOS no matter how many times I hit delete; and I have to try 2-3 times. Hoping a bios update will fix this in the future though.
Additional Comments:
Great board, and would definitely recommend for a high core count CPU. You do leave a bit of expansion and capability on the table by going B550 vs. X570, but if you don't want any risk of a dead chipset fan cooking your board, this is the best board you can get!

Strengths:
-Type C usb connection for front IO
-Decent BIOS
-BIOS flashback is a nice feature to have access to
-Since I chose to get an MSI case with this board, the mystic light software for this board sinks up pretty well
-8+4 power delivery, which is more than enough for almost any cpu you would want to put on a b550
-Built in wi-fi and bluetooth, both of which have been fast and not given me any issues
-Large amount of USB ports, and front panel usb connections
-Easy to see and read troubleshooting LEDs
-Supports a wide variety of RAM frequencies
Weaknesses:
-Price, especially for a b550. At this price it is almost worth it to look into upgrading to an x570 board, especially if you are considering a higher core count cpu
-If you're really into showing off a PC with the maximum amount of RGB, a large GPU will cover the RGB lighting effects located next to the PCIE slots
-This was mostly the fault of my particular case and power supply choice, but that previously mentioned 8+4 power pin was a bit of a pain to properly cable manage (for reference I chose an MSI Gungnir 111M)
Additional Comments:
I bought this board for my first ever ground up PC build. The only issue I have had is that the boot troubleshooting LED occasionally remains on while using the pc, but this has only happened twice and I haven't had further issues than just the light (which is surprisingly bright). The BIOS was slightly out of date when I purchased the board, but that really wasn't a big deal.
Overall, I would recommend this board. Just make sure that you have clearance next to the IO shield / heatsink before purchasing, as it is quite large.
