Strengths:
These WD External drives are THE BEST!
None of your business, but I run at least four of these.
They are excellent! I used to use Seagate because they were cheaper. SeaSh!t drives IMO!!
WD is my go-to drive for Internal/External (HDD/SDD/NVMe).
Acronis is a HUGE PLUS!!
Weaknesses:
Customer Service.
Additional Comments:
BEST Quality of drive available. Always go WD!

Strengths:
It's a CMR drive (WD doesn't currently produce any drives 8TB or higher that are SMR)
Weaknesses:
The latest batch have WD80EDAZ drives inside, which spin at 7,200 rpm even though SMART reports 5,400 rpm. The vents on the bottom have very little clearance. I am getting idle temperature of 45° C, and after 45 minutes of data transfers it is close to 60° C! This is in a room that's 21° C ambient.
Additional Comments:
Avoid - it runs too hot. If you are planning to remove the drive from the enclosure then it may be OK.

Strengths:
This hard drive WD but inside plastic box HITACHI. however it have good speed and it reliable hard drive. We recommend this brand and we use it in our business
Weaknesses:
bad design. Old "my book" style i like better.
Additional Comments:
Good and fast work.
but never place it vertically.
Always put it on its side when it works.
If it suddenly falls to the side you will lose your data !!
