Strengths:
- Really good VRM's
- PCIe Gen 4 support on the M.2 x4 slot, aswell as the GPU x16 slot
- Plenty of Fan and RGB Headers
- Bios Flash Button
- 6x Sata ports, which helps a ton for me, as i have quite a few drives in use.
Weaknesses:
Slightly frustrating USB 3.0 header placement, at least for my case (Lian Li Lancool 205 Mesh)
Additional Comments:
Overall, great Motherboard. Has some flaws however i've not had any problems and am loving my new R5 5600 with it.

Strengths:
BIOS flashing was easy.
Was functional for the most part.
Type C front panel header
Bonus RGB
Weaknesses:
IO audio panel did not work AT ALL (despite hours of tinkering with drivers etc)
FP power button header stopped working after 1 month. I know it was the motherboard because I got a replacement (different board) and it worked fine
MSI Dragon Center is a disgrace to human society. Slow UI, useless rgb functions, and for some reason, MSI remains the only company to have issues with the Lian Li L-Connect software.
USB 3.0 Ports stopped working after a month.
Additional Comments:
Was good for the first month pretty much. Theres absolutely NO WAY i am ever buying an MSI motherboard again. Stupidest motherboard I have ever had to deal with after building multiple PC's. Software was terrible, hardware was terrible. If i had a choice between having a PC with this motherboard in it and not having a PC, i would choose not having a PC.

Strengths:
Best VRM out of motherboards in this price range. Has at least 1 or 2 new ports, including pcie 4.0 m.2, usb 3.2 gen 2. pcie 4.0 graphics card slot.
Weaknesses:
Manual isn't written very well, making it confusing to figure out how to plug in various components. BIOS keyboard navigation is awkward. BIOS mouse control is buggy. no front panel connection header, need to plug lots of little cords in for the power switch, indicator LEDS, etc. Can bust your nvme drive if you aren't paying attention & install it with the risers as they're pre-installed for an uncommon, small size. 2.5gb lan has poor support & very limited selection for network hardware. Limited number of pcie ports meaning when new hardware interconnects com out upgrades will be limited.
Additional Comments:
Lots of compromises for the price. Bought this unit for the high quality VRM (power stage) for the price. It doesn't deserve 4 stars because the manual is pretty bad and it doesn't come with the little 10 cent part to make it easier to plug in all the switches & indicator LEDs. I rate it as "average" because it's missing a lot of quality of life features I've had in motherboards in this price range, for a decade now. I have poor eyesight and big fingers and getting all the front panel connections in place was a massive hassle.

Strengths:
Solid product
Quality construction/Parts
Great IO
Additional Comments:
While I have only had this board about a month, this is the first computer I have built in over 20 years and I have to say that this MSI B550 Tomahawk was a great purchase. Excellent quality and very intuitive layout. More than Pleased.
