Strengths:
I spent countless hours/days/weeks trying to set up Nextcloud on Ubuntu server on Raspberi Pi. Was able to set up, but had trouble using apps on the phone, as pictures never cached.
One day my buddy came over and showed me pictures and videos on his phone from his server. Everything was running smooth. He introduced me to synology. Next day i went and bought DS220+, within an hour or two of setting it up everything was running smooth. Very easy and user friendly installation.
Very easy to set up.
I have two IronWolfs running with no issue.
Weaknesses:
Does not have an easy option to use your own domain to redirect to your home server. It has external access via created synology domain, but i am talking about using "yourowndomain.com" scenario. I found few tutorials, but there are too many hoops to jump through. This would be 5th star in this review.
Additional Comments:
Great user friendly tool for those looking to have their own cloud and not depend on Google or Microsoft.

Strengths:
Synology software extensive and fairly user friendly.
Quiet, great looking chassis that doesn't take up much room.
Reasonable price.
Good hardware transcoding up to 1080p.
Weaknesses:
Unable to do 4K on the fly transcoding.
Only 2 bays.
Additional Comments:
Excellent value, great looking, very quiet, user friendly interface (for people with some tech experience). Working great as my cloud storage and Plex server for videos/pictures/movies. Reliable and working well with WD Red NAS drives setup in mirror.
