Excellent quality sound, good price

Strengths:

Beats other USB DACs in quality.

Additional Comments:

Definitely better than the built-in microphone / headphone jack on your laptop!

Very pleased

Strengths:

I'm not going to make bold claims about this DACbeing better than the others. I'll only state that I've been through some cheap Usb dacs that didn't quite deliver the loudness I wanted. The PLAY 4 gives me the same output at 12% volume as my most recent 'cheap' usb-c dac at does at 70%. This allows me to have plenty of headroom for EQ . Note that I use 600 ohm headphones.

Additional Comments:

Now I KNOW that there are other $20-$30 DACs on Amazon there that could potentially also drive 600 ohm phones with relative ease, but I'm not willing to waste money on trying them out to make sure. As for the software enhancements go, they're all pointless and so is the Creative suite , just don't install the Creative software to begin with.
