Strengths:
Works as intended. Not sure about the review left by "IT Guru", but, I've purchased several (>12) of these enclosures over the years, use them on a daily basis (most under heavy/constant data loads) ... and they are all functioning fine to this date (some are 3 to 5 years old).
Weaknesses:
None
Additional Comments:
Good product; Good value; Works as intended.

Strengths:
Cheap! Probably the cheapest on the market for a USB 3.1 external hard drive. Good for short term, low usage.
Weaknesses:
Bought a few of these at various different times and used as daily off site backups for my office. All of them failed at around the 1 year mark (give or take a few months). Also, I believe the built in memory cache / main board on these are of poor quality. My backed up data would get corrupted quite regularly. I would have to reformat the hard drives regularly and back up again. Good thing I have multiple copies!!
Additional Comments:
These are not for heavy duty daily use. I've proven that with a few of them so it wasn't just a bad product here in there. It was consistently across all of them. I wouldn't spend $$$ on these. Pay the extra to buy the more expensive brands out there.
