Addressing prior concerns.

Strengths:

Solid case. Sturdy. Good build quality, and the power supply seems to work fine (so far, only had it a few days).

Weaknesses:

Some WiFi degradation with the case on, but that's to be expected with a metal case. It's not "Faraday cage" level of blocking signal, but from my testing you'll probably wind up with 2.4Ghz speeds because 5Ghz is bad at penetrating...well pretty much anything (especially metal). From my testing: - No case: 2.4Ghz 71% signal, 24Mb/s || 5Ghz 46% signal, 390Mb/s - With case: 2.4Ghz 67% signal, 24Mb/s || 5Ghz 41% signal, between 24Mb/s and 390Mb/s

Additional Comments:

Some of the prior reviews mentioned problems with the ports, but I've had zero issues with that. Just have to make sure the housing is aligned and seated properly. My off-the-shelf micro HDMI plugged in just fine. The fan runs rather loud plugged into the 5V connection (per the instructions). Unless you really *need* aggressive cooling, I recommend using the 3.3v pin instead. It still got plenty of airflow in my testing. All in all, very useful and sturdy kit for the price and everything has worked well for my use.

Good case and kit...bad power supply

Strengths:

Nice-looking case, very solid when assembled. I had no issues with cable attachments. Screwdriver is magnetized to manage teeny-tiny screws.

Weaknesses:

The included power supply failed on me after a weak of constant use. M/E replaced it, and the replacement is working fine so far. If you need to replace it, get a better one from Amazon. Assembly screws are teeny-tiny and very easy to lose, so be careful. The assembly diagram is small and blurry...look for better instructions on the Net for what pins are used to power the fan [assuming you don't know].

Additional Comments:

Overall, decent enough for the price. Be prepared to replace the PSU with a better one.

Long Time Customer

Strengths:

Good only if you plan headless access and no WIFI.

Weaknesses:

Extremely poor Wifi due to interference from metal case design. Almost like a Faraday Cage. Case design does not allow full connection access to Micro HDMI ports.

Additional Comments:

This case interferes with WIFI signal in a very big way. Also the case design does not allow a the Micro HDMI cable to fully seat in the PI 4 ports consequently you'll not get video signal. Buy a SMRAZA instead if you don't need access to the GPIO pins.

Great case

Strengths:

- It looks nice. Gives your Pi4 a more polished look if you're not into the naked electronics thing. - Quick and easy to assemble. - Sturdy, nicely fitted aluminum. - Fan + heatsinks keep my Pi4 super cool, even under heavy load. - Power supply has an on/off switch!!!

Weaknesses:

- Possible micro-HDMI troubles. All my newer cables work just fine. My 8+ year old cables can't quite reach the port through the openings in the case.

Additional Comments:

It's a great little case to keep your Pi4 looking and feeling cool. I have the 4GB model running as a file server with a 4TB USB3 portable drive connected (powered by USB): Average Temps In Case (with fan running): Idle = 31° C Under Load = 42° C Average Temps Naked: Idle = 35° C Under Load = 60° C

Self-employed

Strengths:

None, since it's not useable.

Weaknesses:

Micro HDMI to HDMI monitor cable won't fit far enough into case to get a signal on your monitor. The case geometry and machining does not allow the micro end of the cable to snap into the micro HDMI port on the Pi 4 motherboard.

Additional Comments:

This case is a Dud. Get a Flirc case instead. You won't need a fan nor heat sinks with the Flirc. And you'll be a lot happier after you assemble it, because it will boot.
